Matnas Yad is proud to present the Rosh Chodesh “SPLIT THE POT” Raffle.
Every Rosh Chodesh, Matnas Yad will split the pot with 50% of the total pot g
oing to the lucky winner and the other 50% going to people in the community that have a hard time with putting food on the table.
This is truly a WIN – WIN situation!
Hundreds of families in the Jewish community are struggling with basic living necessities. While these people would not qualify as living in dire poverty and don’t receive assistance from charity organizations already in place, their status as being within the ranks of the lower middle-class caused them to fall through the cracks when it came to receiving communal assistance.
Through your generous help, these families have a chance to go on and to provide warm meals for their kids, pay a utility bill and get by.
For over 6 years Matnas Yad has been helping families in our community to enjoy Shabbas, Buy a coat for their little boy, keep the heat in the house going and keep the electric flowing. It was all done in a respectful manner, B’derech Kavod and in many cases the spouse of the recipient is not ever aware that her husband is receiving aid.
We need you now more than ever! These hard times are distressing people that never thought they would need our help. We cannot let them down, we cannot let their little children down and we cannot let our brothers and sister down at their worst moments! See what the Kosover Rabbi Shlita is saying “ I know many families that Matnas Yad has helped and provided them with the absolute basic necessities”
But ladies and gentleman, there is so much more we need to do, there are so much more families that reach out to us but can’t help them because we are over our heads! These are our own that are begging us! These are our close knit community family members that are struggling for groceries. Please Please don’t turn your head to them, open your heart and tell them “I care”!
